Play Henry the Organ at London Bridge, Saturday 18th October 2025

This event, on Saturday 18 October, is an initiative of the IAO Eastern Region, and therefore includes SSLSO as a regional member, and also as organising body.

In preparation for this event, Martin Renshaw and George Allan (of the Pipe up for Pipe Organs charity), together with their team of volunteers, spent Saturday 11 October repairing and tuning Henry, so he is in the best possible condition to be played next Saturday.
The photos below show the team hard at work.
So please come along to the event if you possibly can, and play or listen to Henry sounding at his best!

We would encourage SSLSO members and friends to attend for part of the day, bringing with them people who may be interested in getting their hands (and feet, even) on a small instrument as a taster. Martin Renshaw and George Allan (Chair of Pipe Up) will be in attendance for part of the day.

It would be good to have some experienced organists present who can show newcomers what to do, so members are welcome to come for an hour or two as they can spare.

It would also be good to have people playing the organ during the day (10.00-16.00), even when no newcomers are present; it might even attract passers-by twixt tube and main line, along with the banner the RCO has promised us.
