Composite Recital: Saturday, February 24th, 2024 – 2:30pm: Penge Congregational Church

We are now inviting applications from members to play at our forthcoming composite recital on Saturday 24th February starting at 2.30pm at Penge Congregational Church, 172 High Street, SE20 7QS.

The church has a lovely and well-maintained 3 manual/pedal organ built by Lewis & Co. in 1915 and rebuilt in 1984, situated in a generous acoustic. Further details are here: https://npor.org.uk/survey/P00484

We hope you will all come along! If you are a player, you are warmly invited to perform – we especially encourage our bursary students and those who haven’t played before.

Performers of any level are invited to play a piece (or pieces) of around 6 minutes total. I will be arranging a practice session for each player at the church on the Saturday morning, and some alternative days/times will also be available.

For those who would like to commemorate a composer with an anniversary, you could choose music by Charles Villiers Stanford (died 100 years ago).

If you would like to play, please contact us with details of your piece(s) and timings – no more than 6 minutes in total. We look forward to hearing for you.
