Over the years it’s become a tradition that SSLSO members play for the Penge Festival organ recital. This is always a well-attended event, is greatly appreciated by the Penge community, and is another opportunity for us to showcase our talent. And of course you get a chance to play the wonderful Penge Lewis organ!
The recital lasts about an hour so unfortunately we won’t be able to accommodate as many players as we had in February at our composite recital. 6 players each playing for 10 minutes is probably our maximum, but if you’d like to play for less, that’s fine too.
If you would like to play, please contact us – we are particularly keen to hear from our bursary students.
A practice session for each player will be arranged, either on the day or in the week before.
If you are interested, please let us know which piece(s) you wish to play (up to 10 minutes) and the duration of each piece.
The recital will take place at Penge Congregational Church, 172 High Street, Penge, SE20 7QS, 1:00pm start. Doors open at 12:30pm.
Free entry with a retiring collection.
