A time to meet and talk to each other!
We have arranged a ‘Social’ at the Crypt under St Giles’ Church, Camberwell, for Sunday 7th August 2.30 – 4.30pm. This is a beautiful Gilbert Scott Gothic Revival church from the mid-eighteen hundreds.
It is located at the junction of Camberwell Road, SE5 8RB and Peckham Road, with good parking in front of the church and in adjacent streets – which are free of parking restrictions on Sundays. There are many buses passing and even a bus stop named after the church!
The entrance to the Crypt is from the church porch with a few steps down to the rooms with ample relaxed seating. There is even a piano for anyone who feels up to it!
AND if the day is really fine, there is good outside seating.
There is no charge, other than at the bar (comprehensive and very modest prices – credit card preferred). It would help if we know the approximate numbers coming, so please let Martin Callingham know via the contact form.
Please think of bringing friends and family who would be very welcome and add to the event.
So, looking forward to socialising in a lovely place on a summers day.
