On Saturday, 25th July, 11am, we shall be visiting Freemasons’ Hall, 60 Great Queen Street, London WC2B 5AZ. The closest tube stations are Holborn and Covent Garden. Freemasons’ Hall stands on a site that has been used to hold meetings for Freemasons since 1775. Completed in 1933 as a memorial to the thousands of Freemasons who died in the First World War, it is recognised as one of the finest Art Deco buildings in England. The Hall hosts a 3-manual & pedal Willis organ which was rebuilt to much acclaim by Harrison & Harrison in 2015. For those wishing to have an advanced preview, you might like to catch Daniel Moult’s concert at the same venue at 6pm, July 21st.
Please note that you will need to confirm your attendance NO LATER THAN SATURDAY 20th JUNE, and valid ID is required from everyone on the day. Please let us know if you wish to join.
In the afternoon at 1pm we will move on to the church of St. Alban the Martyr, Brooke Street, London EC1N 7RD, which houses a 3-manual & pedal Compton organ.
