Who we are
We are a small, friendly society open to all, organists and those interested in organs and organ music. We run many events throughout the year, and are committed to promoting and supporting the knowledge and practice of organ playing, especially among the young, throughout Southwark and South London. We are a charity registered in England with Charity Number 279537.

What information we collect, use, and why
We collect or use the following information in order to receive donations or funding and organise activities: names and contact details, addresses, donation history, tax payer information (for Gift Aid purposes), and any other relevant information which you choose to share with us such as your musical qualifications, interests, current role, availability for deputising etc.

You can request other information such as details about where we get personal information from and who we share personal information with. - Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information.
- Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to limit how we can use your personal information.
- Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.
- Your right to withdraw consent – When we use consent as our lawful basis you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

Our lawful basis for the collection and use of your data
Our lawful basis for collecting or using personal information to receive donations or funding and organise activities is “Legitimate interests” – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are: so that we can keep you informed of the society’s events, educational activities and other information which we believe may be of interest to you.

We get your personal information directly from you.
How long we keep information
We keep personal data for no more than 18 months after you cease to be a member of the SSLSO.
Who we share information with
We may share some of your personal data with other members of the society, only where you have explicitly given us permission to do so.
