We have again booked the Crypt under St Giles\u2019 Church, Camberwell<\/a>, for our Summer Social on Sunday 11th Aug 2024, from 2.00pm – 5pm, at Camberwell Church Street, Camberwell, SE5 8RB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

This is a beautiful Gilbert Scott Gothic Revival church from the mid-eighteen hundreds. It is located where Camberwell Road becomes Peckham Road and the side turning is Wilson Road. There is good parking in front of the church and in adjacent streets – which are free of parking restrictions on Sundays. There are manybuses passing and even a bus stop named after the church!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entrance to the Crypt is from the church porch with a few steps down to the rooms with ample relaxed seating. There is even a piano for anyone who feels up to it! The forecast for the day is really fine so we will be able to enjoy the pleasant outside seating dedicated to the Crypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no charge, other than at the bar (comprehensive and very modest prices – credit card preferred). Please think of bringing friends and family who would be very welcome and add to the event. Looking forward to socialising in a lovely place on a summers day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
