We are now inviting applications from members to play at our forthcoming composite recital on Saturday 24th February starting at 2.30pm at Penge Congregational Church, 172 High Street, SE20 7QS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The church has a lovely and well-maintained 3 manual\/pedal organ built by Lewis & Co. in 1915 and rebuilt in 1984, situated in a generous acoustic. If you are a player, you are warmly invited to perform – we especially encourage our bursary students and those who haven’t played before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Performers of any level are invited to play a piece (or pieces) of around 6 minutes total. I will be arranging a practice session for each player at the church on the Saturday morning, and some alternative days\/times will also be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For those who would like to commemorate a composer with an anniversary, you could choose music by Charles Villiers Stanford (died 100 years ago).<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you would like to play, please contact us with details of your piece(s) and timings – no more than 6 minutes in total.
