Saturday June 5th saw the society’s first\u00a0in person<\/em>\u00a0event for quite some time, so it was pleasing to see 15 or so members meet up at Thaxted Parish Church for the 10am start.\u00a0 We were welcomed\u00a0by Ann Pickhaver, followed by a demonstration of the Lincoln Organ\u00a0by the Organist, Christopher Bayston.\u00a0 Members then had an opportunity to play.\u00a0\u00a0We then took a short walk to Thaxted United Reformed Church, to see\u00a0and play the early Conacher Organ.<\/p>\n

After lunch in Thaxted, we drove to Saffron Walden, around 15 miles away, where we were met at St. Mary’s Church by the Organist & Director of Music, Oli King and Peter De Vile, organ builder. Following a demonstration of the organ members were invited to play.<\/p>\n
