Annual Dinner 2016

The Society’s Dinner was held in the heart of Soho 9th Nov

untitled5 Tucked away in Soho is the homely Bistro where it is still possible to get a meal that is wholly prepared on site – a rare thing these days.

We had our own room downstairs, and could choose from an extensive menu of international food, from fish and chips to falafel.

And were assured of friendly service from Mehmet and his staff.

A time to be sociable and also to have a celebratiountitled6n

22 diners joined together for a very sociable evening in the Soho Bistro much enjoyed the year before. It was especially good to welcome new members and to be able to help Honorary President Dr Harry Bramma celebrate his forthcoming 80th birthday. Our guest speaker, Rev Colin Boswell, spoke of the importance of striving to achieve and maintain beauty and quality in every aspect of worship.

As last year, it was good to be able to enjoy good quality fare at not vast cost. The restaurant’s beautiful and colourful lighting added a touch of warmth and sparkle to the occasion.

Beinuntitled3g a London Society means that wherever one travels to, there is always an alternative way of getting there and back without too much hassle. The recent tram derailment in Croydon had a big impact on local rail services but everyone managed to make their journeys despite delays and cancellations. We remembered those whose lives had been shattered by the accident.
