Come to the Society’s Dinner in the heart of Soho

Bistro smallTucked away in Soho is the homely Bistro where it is still possible to get a meal that is wholly prepared on site – a rare thing these days.

We will have our own room
downstairs, and can choose from an extensive menu of international food, from fish and chips to falafel.

And we are assured of friendly service from Mehmet and his staff.

IMG_8076Harry Bramma, our President, will be in attendance and we are delighted to have as our our guest speaker the Rev’d Canon Colin Boswell, Parish Priest of St Augustine’s Honor Oak, and chaplain at St Dunstan’s College Catford, SE6 and former vicar of Croydon Minster.

 

Personal guests are also welcome

 

 

Where do we go, what do we pay?

The address is Bistro 1, 27 Frith Street, Soho, W1D 5LE. It’s easy to get to, being 5 mins from Piccadilly Circus or Leicester Square and walkable from Charing Cross. The dinner is 7.00  for 7.30.

The charge is £20 (to be collected on the night and which includes a tip) for a welcome glass of wine, a three course meal and coffee to finish. Additional drinks are available and should be ordered and paid for at the table separately. Please bring cash as our Hon Treasure will be collecting the money as we have a collective deal.

“We made a last minute booking on Saturday night and they were more than happy to accommodate us. From the outside the restaurant doesn’t look like much, but inside the atmosphere and food is amazing. Considering you are in central london, there is none of the hustle and bustle that is seen in other restaurants. The lighting with coloured glass lamps set the tone of the place. The food was very reasonably priced and tasted beautiful. It was very hearty, home cooking with great flavours. Would definitely recommend this place”.
