The organ amalgamates two redundant Binns instruments: Beechen Grove Baptist Church, Watford and St Augustine’s Tonge Moor, Bolton.
A small amount of non-Binns pipework has been retained.
The imaginative scheme has been carried out by B.C. Shepherd and Sons in collaboration with J.H. Males.

Helmut Deutsch is particularly renowned for his performances of the nineteenth-century repertoire, especially his own transcriptions of great piano and orchestral works, many of which he has recorded. A prize-winner at a number of international organ competitions, he performs in concerts throughout Europe and Asia and is a Professor of Organ at the University of Music at Freiburg, Germany.
